| Ans : Phenol is a useful chemical. Phenol is used as a disinfectant. Phenol is also used to clean the house. It removes odors and repels flies. It dissolves easily in water. It is highly toxic. Eyes should be protected from contact with phenol. Similarly, phenol also burns the skin. Gloves should be worn while using it.
