| Ans : The following measures can be taken for conservation of soil:
1. A embankment of river should be done to prevent soil erosion caused by river erosion.
2. To prevent erosion caused by wind, trees should be planted.
3. The roots of the plants keep the soil firm. Therefore, trees should be planted in barren lands to prevent landslides.
4. Deforestaion causes soil erosion.
5. In order to reduce the erosion caused by the agricultural activities that people do on the steep land, they should cultivate in terrace lands.
