| Ans : The difference between ray of light and beam of light are as follows:
Umbra:
Umbra is the darkest part of a shadow where all direct light is blocked.
It is the region of complete shadow at the center.
Penumbra:
Penumbra is the partially shaded outer region of a shadow.
It is the area surrounding the umbra where some light from the source is still visible.
