| Ans : Poverty means not having enough money to fulfill basic requirement such as food, clothing, shelter etc. poverty is the state of being poor having very little money for survival.
Hence, poverty is the situation of inadequate income, illiteracy, malnutrition, lack of social service like health care, sanitation etc.
According to Amatya Sen,” poverty is deprivation of basic capabilities rather than merely a lowness of income.
