Ans : Propagation of sound wave in solid medium:
In a solid medium, such as a metal rod or a wall, sound waves travel by causing the particles of the solid to vibrate.
The vibrations are transmitted from particle to particle through a series of compressions and rarefactions, allowing the sound wave to propagate through the solid.
