Ans : Plants take in carbon dioxide from the air and use sunlight to convert it into oxygen and starch. Oxygen is released back into the air. Animals and other organisms take in oxygen from the air. During respiration, they release carbon dioxide as a waste product back into the air. So, plants produce oxygen and take in carbon dioxide, while animals and organisms consume oxygen and release carbon dioxide. This exchange of gases between plants and animals helps maintain a balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the environment.
