| Ans : The characteristics of aves are as follows:
(a) Their bodies are covered with scales and feathers.
(b) They have a pair of wings, a pair of legs and a beak.
(c) They breathe through the lungs.
(d) There are four chambers in the heart.
(e) Their bones are light and loose.
(f) They have internal fertilization and they lay eggs.
(g) The front legs of birds are transformed into wings.
Example: Pigeon, Haas, Chicken, Dove, Peacock, Crow, etc.
