Ans : The adaptational characteristics of aquatic plants are as follows: 1.The roots of these plants do not develop. Some plants float on water and some stay under water. The roots of plants that float in water also have floating roots like hair. 2.Their stems are soft and flexible. They do not break even when the water flows. 3.Waterhycinth floats in the water by the hollow stems that are lower than the leaves of the watercress plant. 4..Lotus leaves are large and float in water but the roots are buried in the soil. Plants that live under water have small leaves.
